Early on in life I wasn't real sure what I wanted to do with my life. I was always an average student in school and had no real plan as to what I was going to do with my life. After barely graduating from the University of Toledo, I knew I did not want an ordinary nine to five job. I gave the fire academy a shot and knew from the very first moment I stepped foot there that this was the career I was destined for. It was at that point when I made a plan for my professional development. After excelling at the academy, EMT and Paramedic school, I decided to continue my educational career and complete the Bachelor of Applied Science at Edison College. In an effort to better myself and further my career, I felt it necessary to obtain a more job specific degree and also plan to continue on to a Master's Degree within the next few years. It is my intent to move to a Chiefs position at BSFD. It is my ultimate goal to become involved on a Federal level with either FEMA or The Department of Homeland Security.

Who I Need to Thank

First and foremost I have to thank my beautiful wife Erin and three loving children Jude, Riley & Maggie (JURIMA). Without their relentless support throughout this journey I could not have accomplished so much. Next, my parents Dave & Patti, even though I did not start off my educational career with much enthusiasm, they have always encouraged and embraced everything I have done. Next is the many professors, staff and students throughout all my educational endeavors who have helped me along the way. Last, I would like to thank Edison College for lending this opportunity to myself as well as the many others who are not only interested in educating themselves, but providing a higher quality of service to those they serve.
